Ambedkar Nagar district on the banks of river Ghaghara is very popular for the tourist places in and around the district. Ambedkar Nagar provides the travellers with a good transport facility which makes the tour comfortable. The fort of Lorepur is very popular in the district.  The Ambedkar Park in the city is a very popular picnic spot that is located in a beautiful landscape; it homes many birds and numerous herbs and shrubs. Dr. Ambedkar Park in Akbarpur and Shahid park in Rajesultanpur is also a popular picnic destination.

Touring the Ambedkar Nagar Ghats Touring towards the Ghats of River Ghaghara is very popular; tourists should not miss it while in Ambedkar Nagar. Boating and swimming are very famous and a joyful activity at the Ghats. Apart from River Ghaghara the district is blessed with many small river channels and lakes namely River Tons, River Saryu, Lake Devhat, Lake Hanswar, Lake Darvan and many more which are also famous for swimming. Holy dip in these streams on special and auspicious occasions is also popular in the district; the holy dip is meant for purification. Many shrines are also sited very close to these river streams. The Balua Ghat and Kamhariya Ghat in Rajesultanpur are also very famous.

Fairs and Melas in Ambedkar Nagar    The district is also popular for fairs and melas. As per Ramayana, the district is the home town of Shravan who was mistakenly killed by King Dasharatha. During Magh Purnima which falls on a full moon day in the month of February an annual fair is conducted on Shravan Kshetra that is attended by numerous people from in and out of Ambedkar Nagar. The urs mela of Kichaucha Shareef in Baskhari is also very popular in the district which falls on the 27th of Moharam. This mela is celebrated on remembrance of the great Sufi saint, Hazrat Makhdoom Sultan Syed Ashraf Jahangir Semnani. The other popular events that are celebrated at grand scale in the district are the Muharram Azadari and Amari. Govind Sahab Mela also famous in ambedkarnagar.

Religious Places in Ambedkar Nagar   The district is very popular for its places of worship as most of the shrines in the district are of historic and mythological importance. The Ashraf Jahangir Semnani shrine in the district is very popular. Hazrat Makhdoom Sultan Syed Ashraf Jahangir Semnani was a renowned Sufi saint who established his own sila. Mahadev mandir at Beedi village, Shiv Baba Mandir at Akbarpur Khateri road, Hanuman Mandir at Aniruddh Nagar in Benipur village are popular places of worship in Ambedkar Nagar. The city Rajesultanpur is very popular for shrines like Baba Bharmchari Ji Kuti, Maa Kalika Mandir, Shree Bram Baba Mandir, Riyasat, Durga Mandir and many more. In these Baba Bharmchari Ji Kuti and Maa Kalika Mandir are city landmarks.
